Fonti Minerali
Fonti Minerali shelter is situated in Ceresole Reale (1500 metres above sea level) on the Piedmontese side of the National Park of Gran Paradiso and is a staging point of the GTA (Grande Traversata delle Alpi), also included in the Via Alpina itinerary.
Based in the ancient building of mineral water in Ceresole (whose medical properties were already commented in 1827 in the "Dictionaire abrégé de Sciences Medicales"), the shelter is an ideal support for mountain sports, such as trekking, hiking and free climbing.
In spring the special shape of the Orco Valley offers unique possibilities to alpine touring skiers.
Several traces of our history and traditions together with wonderful views and the rich fauna of the high Orco valley are also interesting for photographers.
The shelter is specially equipped for passages and short stays, and will enable you to enjoy everything our moutains can offer.
